Big news to share: alongside Altena IT & Automation, a new company has been founded. A general partnership (VOF under Dutch law), together with a business partner. Not a takeover, not a conversion, but a deliberate choice to build something new together.
Why a new company as a partnership
The idea had been growing for a while. After months of collaborating on projects, the combination of technical knowledge, complementary skills and a shared vision on quality proved too strong to leave as informal cooperation. A formal partnership provides a solid legal foundation, makes it easier to invest jointly in tooling and infrastructure, and offers clients additional certainty.
Altena IT & Automation continues to exist as before. This new company is separate, but builds on the same working method: listen first, advise second, and only build when it makes sense. What the partnership adds is extra capacity. Projects that were previously on the waiting list can now be picked up faster. And when holidays or peak periods come around, someone is always available.
Our own online booking system
Besides the partnership registration, we have been working on something that has been in the pipeline for a while: a fully custom online booking system. A platform that lets clients easily and quickly make reservations, schedule appointments and check availability.
The system has been developed entirely in-house, from the ground up. No white-label solution from a third party, no monthly licence fees passed on to clients. Everything runs on the same technical foundation as our website: fast, reliable and without unnecessary complexity.
What the booking system offers
- Online reservations: clients pick a date and time themselves, no back-and-forth emails needed
- Automatic confirmations: after a booking, a confirmation email with all details follows immediately
- Payment integration: secure online payments via well-known payment methods
- Self-management: rental owners and service providers manage their own availability, pricing and conditions
- Multilingual: the platform works in multiple languages, just like our website
What this means for clients
For existing clients: your workflow does not change. Communication lines stay short, quality stays high. What you gain is that for larger projects, you now get two entrepreneurs at the table instead of one.
For new clients: the booking system opens possibilities for entrepreneurs who currently work with paper diaries, Excel files or expensive external platforms. Think of rental companies, trainers, coaches, practice owners. Anyone who benefits from a streamlined reservation process.
What comes next
